What does an OnlyFans agency actually do?
Every agency site lists the same six services. Almost none says what happens on a Tuesday. This does.

The short answer
An OnlyFans management agency does four things that move income: answers and sells in the inbox around the clock, brings new fans from Reddit, X and short-form socials, sets subscription and paid-message prices, and plans content around what sold. It also handles leak takedowns and monthly reporting.
The inbox is the product. Most OnlyFans income is paid messages and tips, not subscriptions, so a team of chatters working in shifts from scripts and fan notes is where an agency earns its share.
The six services, in order of impact
| Service | What it is | Effect on income |
|---|---|---|
| Chatting and DM sales | A team writes to fans as you, around the clock, selling paid messages and asking for tips | Carries the revenue. Most income on a managed page comes through messages |
| Traffic | Daily posting on Reddit, X, Instagram and TikTok, each channel with its own tracking link | High. New fans every day are the raw material |
| Pricing and PPV | Subscription price, bundles, a ladder of paid messages, a mass-message calendar | High. Raises spend per fan without more fans |
| Content planning | A weekly plan of what to shoot, built from what sold | Medium on its own; compounds the other three |
| Leak takedowns | Finding your content on leak sites and getting it removed | Protects income rather than adding it |
| Reporting | A monthly statement from your own platform data: revenue by fan, by chatter, by traffic link | Management, not revenue |
How the chat team works
Fans message. Somebody has to answer within minutes, in your voice, know what the fan bought last time, and know when to offer the next thing. On a page with a few hundred active fans that is a job for several people, not an evening.
- Shifts. A 24/7 rota is usually five chatters, each handling around six conversations at once. One agency described its setup in the High Court as “a team of five chatters working in shifts to provide 24/7 coverage, supervised by a quality control manager”.
- Scripts. Pre-written openers, upsells and closes, each with notes on when to use it. Chatters search for the right one and fill in the fan-specific blanks.
- Fan notes. A record for every fan: name, what they like, what they bought, when they get paid. The judge in that case called notes built over years of conversation hard to rebuild, which is why your contract should say they are yours.
- Targets. Reply time under five minutes. A paid message sent is tracked against whether it was unlocked. Revenue per chatter hour is watched. Big spenders get a smaller, senior team.
- Where the chatters are. Most of the industry’s chatters work from the Philippines, Venezuela and Kenya for $2 to $5 an hour plus a few percent of sales. Agencies that use UK or US chatters pay several times more and charge more. Ask where yours are and how they are paid, because turnover in a $2-an-hour team shows up in your inbox.
- AI. AI tools now draft replies for many agencies. OnlyFans’ rules do not allow a bot to run your DMs, and from November 2026 its terms also bar using your messages to train one. A reply drafted by software and sent by a person is a grey area the industry is standing in. Ask the agency what it uses.
On Sable’s Full plan the chat team works in your voice inside limits you set, and you can read every conversation. On Growth you keep your own DMs and we do everything else.
How traffic is run
The funnel is the same for every creator: non-explicit content on mainstream apps, a link page, then a free or paid OnlyFans page where chatters turn subscribers into buyers. What changes is which apps still work.
| Channel | State in 2026 | What an agency does with it |
|---|---|---|
| Still the best-converting free channel. Every subreddit has its own rules on karma, verification and links | Daily posts across niche subreddits, verification handled, bans avoided, a tracking link per subreddit | |
| X | Allows labelled adult content. Weak reach for new accounts without paid promotion | Posting schedule, paid promotion where it pays, retweet networks |
| Instagram and TikTok | Huge reach, high risk. Accounts get removed for solicitation and links. Only Stories links reliably survive on Instagram | Safe-for-work content, indirect links, backup accounts, and accepting that accounts get lost |
| Shoutouts and swaps | Fading. Fans from swaps spend little and some sellers pad numbers with bots | Used sparingly, measured, dropped when the link shows no spend |
| Paid traffic | Subscribers from about $0.50 each; roughly one in seven ever buys | Only on pages with chat cover to convert cold fans, and only with tracking |
The one rule that separates agencies that grow pages from agencies that post and hope: every channel gets its own link, so fan spending can be traced back to where the fan came from.
Pricing and PPV
Subscriptions on OnlyFans run from $4.99 to $50 a month. Paid messages start at $3. Most agencies run a free page to gather fans and sell paid messages, a paid page for subscriptions, or both. The agency sets the subscription price, builds bundles, designs a ladder of paid messages from a $5 tease to a $50 set, and times mass messages to paydays. Prices are tested monthly against unlock rates. The full pricing guide goes through the numbers.
Content planning and protection
The content plan is a weekly list of what to shoot, built from last month’s sales: which sets unlocked, which themes fans asked for in DMs, what the top spenders bought. Good agencies send you a shot list; bad ones send you a quota. Takedowns are a steady background job: search the leak sites, file the notices, repeat. Some agencies use a service for this and some do it by hand. Either way, ask to see the log.
A week on a managed page
| Who | Every day | Every week | Every month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chat team | Answer every message, sell the day’s PPV, update fan notes, hand over at shift change | Review scripts against what sold; flag fans going quiet | Revenue per chatter, unlock rates, top fans |
| Traffic | Post to the day’s subreddits and socials, check links, handle verifications | Spend by link; drop channels that do not convert | Channel review, new subreddits, account health |
| Manager | Check the numbers | Call or message with you: content plan, prices, anything the chatters need | Statement, invoice, plan for next month |
| You | Shoot what is on the list, approve anything new | Twenty minutes with your manager | Read the statement |
What an agency does not do
- It does not make your content, and it should not decide what you make.
- It does not need your password, your email or your payout bank. Management software gives team access without them.
- It does not get paid by OnlyFans. OnlyFans pays you; the agency invoices you.
- It does not grow a page with no audience on a percentage. That needs a fixed-price setup, which is what Launch is for.
- It does not promise a number before it has seen the page.
What Sable does, plan by plan, with the price on each, is on the pricing page. Growth is 20% for everything above except chat. Full is 50% then 40% for all of it.

Questions people ask
How do OnlyFans agencies work?
You sign a revenue-share agreement. The agency connects your page to management software, puts a chat team on your inbox, runs your promotion on social platforms, sets your prices and sends you a monthly statement. OnlyFans pays you as normal and the agency invoices its share.
Do OnlyFans agencies talk to fans as the creator?
Yes. Chatters write in the creator's voice from scripts and notes about each fan. OnlyFans' terms allow third parties to help run an account and tell fans this may happen. The creator stays responsible for the account and, with a good agency, can read every conversation.
How many chatters does one creator get?
A full 24/7 rota is typically five chatters in shifts, each handling around six conversations at once, with a lead checking quality. Big spenders get a smaller, more experienced team.
Do I still have to make content with an agency?
Yes. The agency plans what to shoot and when, based on what sold, and may edit and schedule it, but you make it. What you are willing to make is your decision, and a contract that says otherwise is a red flag.
How do I hire an OnlyFans manager?
Decide whether you need the inbox covered, traffic, or both. A single chatter can be hired directly at $5 to $10 an hour plus commission. For traffic, pricing and cover across time zones, apply to an agency, compare its terms against the seven clauses in our contract guide, and start month to month.
